Midnight Sun Hiking & Photography Trip in Korouoma Canyon

Korouoma canyon is millions of years old fracture valley in the bedrock. At the center of the valley, it forms a magnificent gorge that drops over 100 meters below its surrounding terrain. It is the main place for ice climbing in the winter but offers much beauty throughout all seasons. 

The natural phenomenon midnight sun will add to those already stunning views of Lappish landscapes the colors all night long. With its 5km trail, the hiking is easy and relaxing. Be on the lookout for wild animals and floral life! Those unique moments of sunset and sunrise while hiking in the canyon will be captured  by our professional photographers. 

Before returning back to Rovaniemi, as a reward your guide will demonstrate how to start a fire the Lappish way and will prepare the light barbecue.

    Please note

      Operated in Rovaniemi each year between June to July (weather permitting). The minimum number of participants for each safari is 2 full paying adults’ price.

      Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes according to the weather.

      Pick up service is included if the distance from pick up point to Rovaniemi city center is within 8km.

      Meeting time of our safari is always before the starting time of the safari if you need pick-up services. You will receive your meeting time and meeting point upon confirmation or by e-mail. Failure to participate in the safari due to missed meeting time or meeting point will not be refunded.

      Please let us know in advance when you book the safari if you have special dietary requirements. (Eg: vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)
